Man City vs Fulham Preview and Predictions

Manchester city are predictably the league’s top scorers four matches into the new season but a draw at Wolves has denied them a perfect start, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Watford the only sides in the top flight on maximum points.

Fulham are looking to build on their two-game unbeaten run.

Manchester city  Sergio Aguero’s cunning intelligence will surely be needed to unlock Fulham’s stubborn defence.

Fulham aren’t short on firepower though, and Aleksandar Mitrovic will be looking to put himself amongst City’s backline having banged four goals in four games.

It’s hard to find a fault in Guardiola’s starting squad, but winger Raheem Sterling will need to put in a performance if he wants to avoid being dropped for Leroy Sane in future games, despite already finding the net twice this season.

Raheem Sterling is expected to be in contention to start Manchester City’s clash with Fulham immediately after the international break, despite withdrawing from the England squad.

Pep Guardiola – who dropped Leroy Sane from his squad against Rafa Benitez’ side – was glowing in his praise of Sterling.

“He scored a fantastic goal and he fought a lot,” said the City manager. “Especially in the second half, he played so clever.

“He moved the way we needed to move to help the team to be stable.

“The wingers are so important, to make stability in our team.”

PREDICTION

Fulham have had  rocky start to the season, but City have seen a number of players avoid international duty and should be confident of getting a solid win in front of their home supporters.
