The Times have dropped a potentially significant update on Tuesday regarding the scene in the Arsenal boardroom.
According to the broadsheet, Arsenal manager Unai Emery is amongst a group of senior Arsenal figures who are “irritated” with Ivan Gazidis.

Gazidis is in limbo at Arsenal following an approach from AC Milan in the summer.

Milan want Gazidis to swap the Emirates for the San Siro.

The Times report:
The chief executive informed Arsenal’s board last month that he has received an offer to join AC Milan, who were taken over this summer by a hedge fund run by his friend Paul Singer, but has yet to give them his final decision.

Arsenal denied rumours that were circulating last week that Gazidis had formally given notice and the ongoing uncertainty is beginning to frustrate staff at the highest level of the club.

Arsenal are also making plans of their own.

It’s claimed that the Gunners may make Gazidis wait to join AC Milan if he opts to walk out on Arsenal:

Arsenal would almost certainly put Gazidis on gardening leave should he choose to leave to join a European rival despite the fact that he has a 12-month notice period in his contract.

In a final, but significant piece of information, the Times also reveal why Gazidis may be so keen to move to Milan:

Milan’s owners are understood to have offered Gazidis a stake in the club.
