Former presidential candidate Peter Kenneth on Tuesday met with Orange Democratic Movement Leader Raila Odinga at his Capitol Hill office.
Minutes after photos of their meeting emerged on social media, Mr. Kenneth faced sharp criticism from a section of the public, who questioned the reasons behind his sudden appearance.
Mr. Kenneth, who is known to be very active during election periods, was not one to keep quiet when the attacks were fired on social media. He replied to his attackers fearlessly.
One John Kimunyi said: “Huyu Kenneth anakujanga tu time ya uchaguzi then anaishia.”
Mr Kenneth fired back stating: “Is it really time for the election? discussing national issues.”
Another tweep Victor Odipo posted: “You unearthed him from his hiding place? I like the way you address him as former Assistant Minister (referring to Mr. Kenneth). Respect.”
In response, the former MP said: “Hiding from what?”
Arch Kibwege said: “amefufuka.”
Replying to Kibwege Mr. Kenneth questioned: “Who was dead?”
