Teachers Service Commission (TSC) accused KNUT Secretary General Wilson Sossion of lying about the ongoing negotiations between the union and the commission.
In a statement to newsrooms, the TSC distanced itself from claims by Sossion alleging they had reached negotiations.
According to the statement, TSC accused Sossion of misleading teachers that they had reached a middle ground on the promotion of 30,000 teachers. The commission indicated they had not agreed on any promotions during their first phase of the meetings, which saw KNUT abandon plans to strike this term.
Kenyans took to Social Media to discuss the allegations made against Sossion.
A burden..
I have always wondered why teachers in Kenya and their other officials have not noticed this fact. Sossion is a problem and burden to teachers. #AmungaKNUTExposed

Finally someone came up with a positive comment…
What’s best is to ignore all these propaganda being peddled against Sossion and claims that he calls for strikes for his personal gains, we just can’t ignore the massive contribution Sossion has made in advocating for teachers’ welfare #AmungaKNUTExposed

Misplaced!
I know Peter Amunga like the palm of my hands. He is a criminal who narrowly escaped jail sentence after stealing donor funds for widows and OVCs of Khwisero. He fell out with KNUT/Sossion long time ago, therefore this hashtag #AmungaKNUTExposed is misplaced.
