The headline of the Champions League draw on Thursday evening was perhaps the news that Juventus will be facing Manchester United in Group H.
This means that, Cristiano Ronaldo will be returning to his former club, the club where he made a name for himself before switching to Real Madrid in 2009, a place where he won four Champions League titles in the last five years.
Ronaldo faced Manchester United in 2013 with Mourinho and scored in the 2-1 win but didn’t celebrate his goal. But fans are worried that the Juventus striker might destroy David De Gea like he did at the World Cup.
De Gea arrived at the tournament as one of the best goalkeepers but the Portugal forward put doubts to that tag when he scored three easy goals past the Spanish Shot stopper. Some people believe that De Gea has not regained his confidence since that humiliation.
The clash between the European heavyweights will also be the first time when when Mourinho faces his compatriot for the first time in the opposite sides since 2014 when the coach left Real Madrid for Chelsea.
Paul Pogba will also travel to Turin to face his former club since making the record breaking move to Man united in 2016.
This is what fans are saying:
