Early Thursday morning Agriculture Principal Secretary Richard Lesiyampe and top National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) managers were arrested over .for alleged graft, the war on corruption shifted to the National Cereals and Produce Board. The Question that is emerging is has the DPP put his ethiscs aside and is now going for the NCPB officials from one ethnic community ?
We must have ethnic balance in civil service. You see now the arrest of officials in this ministry looks like arrest of only Kalenjins. Because from top to bottom, we have a single ethnic group in the ministry. This is SAD!!! pic.twitter.com/WpweRcPZV6

Does it mean all the senior NCPB Officials are from the kalenjin community? Where is NCIC…… This inbreeding will yield Mongoloidal cases?? pic.twitter.com/9JwuTUxV9p

The other NCPB Ofificial arrested include General Manger for Finance Cornel Kiprotich Ng’elechey , Newton Terer, Cornel KiprotichCaroline Kipchoge, Renson Kibet, Eric Kipketer, Joseph Kipruto. They hail from the same Kalenjin Community.
Some kenyans say its Kalenjins since they are the majority in the Board. According to DPP Noordin Haji, the officials will be charged with the wilful failure to comply with law relating to management of public property, unauthorised spending of public funds, conspiracy to defraud, abuse of office and neglect of official duty.
If the DPP goes for all the directors of NCPB, he might end up arresting all the Kalenjins. This board is more or less like one of those that operates from Uasin Gishu. Never seen a tribalised board like this.

“Upon investigations, it was established that NCPB spent Sh11,365,879,918 thereby exceeding the Sh6 billion budgeted for,” he explained. “The Strategic Food Reserve Oversight Board had budgeted to purchase 2 million bags of maize for the financial year 2017/18 at Sh6 billion.”
He stated that the probe by the anti-graft body so far covered the Eldoret Depot where the largest payments were made, but investigations are ongoing in other depots
According to Haji, they will be charged with wilful failure to comply with law relating to the management of public property, the unauthorized spending of public funds, conspiracy to defraud, abuse of office and neglect of official duty.
Very shameful that Kalenjins at NCPB are stealing from their parents who sold maize to educate them! pic.twitter.com/jCtUIMWKUP
