Finally! Manchester opts to hand star a new deal

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial could sign a new five-year deal with the club according to reliable sources.

Manchester United tactician Jose Mourinho was ready to offload the France International but the player continues to enjoy the backing of Executive Chairman Ed Woodward.

Martial is expected to sign the new deal as he believes he will outlast the manager at the club according to The Times. Manchester United faces Burnley on Sunday and a lose will make it three on the trot and this could be the end of the road for the tactician despite having the board’s backing.

Martial’s contract situation clearly shows the split that exists between Mourinho and Ed Woodward regarding the club’s direction. The coach has been on record complaining about the lack of support from the supremos in bringing in new signings.

He has another older brother, Dorian, who is in the senior team at Les Ulis.
