Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette makes shock transfer decision

Lacazette has failed to start any of Arsenal’s three Premier League games so far with Emery giving Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang the nod.Last term under Arsene Wenger, Lacazette wasn’t always fancied by Arsene Wenger and when he did start, was often substituted before the end of matches.

And according to French outlet Le10 Sport, Lacazette could push for a move away from the Emirates with some transfer windows in Europe still open.

It is said that the striker has been enquired about by a handful of foreign clubs, although it is believed the Gunners will do what they can to keep hold of him. With the Premier League window closed, Arsenal would be unable to sign a replacement.

After the 3-1 win over West Ham when he came on as a half-time substitute, Lacazette said: “I knew I could help the team.

“What I do is different to everyone else.I just want to play and help my team all the time. When you come off the bench you have to be ready for your team-mates, it is what I tried to do and obviously it helped us to get the win.”

Lacazette is also adamant he’s not trying to pressure Emery into starting him alongside Aubameyang.

He added: “I like to be with Auba. He’s a good guy.

“I’m not asking the coach or telling him, ‘I want to play with Auba’ or something like that.He knows we can play well together and then afterwards, he makes his decision.”

Unai Emery has stated that he will not set up with two centre-forwards just yet. However, inserting Alexandre Lacazette into the Arsenal line-up does not commit him to playing that way.

Sometimes, I feel like I am banging the same drum over and over again. That is what it feels like when I start yet another piece outlining my belief that Unai Emery should be starting Alexandre Lacazette. I have detailed why, from the presence he provides in central areas to the repeated impact that he has on games when introduced from off the bench, and still believe that it seems obvious from the early-season evidence.

Arsenal will be looking to follow up their victory against the Hammers with a win away to Cardiff on Sunday
