Lacazette happy with Sanchez poor form? Here is what he did

Alexandre Lacazette appears to be enjoying Alexis Sanchez’s struggles since the Chilean swapped Arsenal for Manchester United.

Sanchez completed a controversial move to United in January in a deal which saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan join the Gunners and the forward was handed the iconic No. 7 shirt at Old Trafford upon signing.

However, the 29-year-old only managed three goals in all competitions last season and is yet to score for the Red Devils this term, starting on the bench for Monday night’s crunch match with Tottenham.

Sanchez came on to replace Ander Herrera in the 55th minute but was largely anonymous as United went on to lose 3-0, prompting Arsenal fans to poke fun at their former player on Twitter.

This week Lacazette even ‘liked’ a photograph mocking Sanchez which was posted after Spurs’ crushing victory. The Chile international fell out with several members of Arsenal’s dressing room before his departure and it seems Lacazette isn’t his biggest fan.

Sanchez claimed last season was a ‘learning period’ and vowed to kick on at United ahead of the 2018/19 campaign. ‘I can’t remember the last time I had a break and a long vacation,’ he said before United’s victory over Leicester.

‘It served me well to rest, to clear my head a little bit and get stronger for the season. I’m already off to a great start. It’s been years since I’ve had a pre-season like this one, and I hope I’m in good shape to face Leicester.
