Mohamed has hit out at the Egyptian Football Association over the lack of help he has received over a violation of his images rights. The Liverpool star released a statement on Twitter in a fresh attempt to resolve an issue that has been ongoing since his involvement at the World Cup.

Photographs of Salah with controversial Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov were pushed into the media spotlight during his time in Russia, making for an uncomfortable situation for the forward.

Kadyrov’s regime had been under fire for allegations of violence againstgay people and a violation of human rights, with Kick It Out and Pride in Football publicly condemning the incident involving Salah. Reports circulating after Egypt’s elimination entailed suggestions Salah would consider stepping down from his international duties in light of his supposed use for political propaganda.

Though Salah denied such rumours at the time, new questions may now loom over his future following his latest comments.
Speaking on Twitter on Sunday night, he wrote: “Naturally any ball union seeks to solve the problems of its players until they provide comfort.. But really what I see is exactly the opposite.”
