Gusii leaders unhappy with Ruto

As the 2022 succession political war continues a heated debate took place after the deputy president William Ruto went ahead to ask for support for his 2022 from ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Raila Odinga.

According to Ruto the two politicians  owe him, but Mudavadi who’s also eyeing the presidency in 2022, will have none of it.

However Ruto’s sentiment did not please everyone as a section of leaders from the Gusii region went to react to DP William Ruto’s decision to ask Raila Odinga for support in 2022 elections.

According to Bonchari MP John Oyioka said that it will be hard for Ruto to get Raila’s support in 2022.

In his statement he said, “I wish to advise DP Ruto to stop wasting time begging Raila to support him. He dumped Raila during the hour of need during the 2013 general elections and the same should happen to him in 2022.”

The lawmaker stated that Ruto should try other alternatives and stop loitering seeking Raila’s endorsement.

Kisii County based ODM party politician Samuel Omwando said 2022 will be Ruto’s time to get a break from active politics.

In his statement he said, “There is no doubt, Ruto will not win Presidency in 2022. He ignored Raila in 2013 and he should expect the same to happen to him in 2022.

He further added saying , “Mt. Kenya region will never support him to become the President of this country,”

He further went ahead  asking Raila Odinga to ignore DP Ruto since he has lost political direction.

Borabu MP Ben Momanyi said Ruto has forgotten what he did to Raila in 2013.

“It is sad that the son of the peasant has forgotten what he did to Raila in 2013 when he wanted to become president,” said the Wiper MP.

They were speaking at different functions on Sunday following the debate that was ignited when the two visited Gusii over the weekend.
