Borussia Dortmund Striker Completes West Ham Move

As Manuel Pellegrini continues to stamp his mark on West Ham, the club have made another signing, shortly after announcing that Jack Wilshere had joined.

The latest addition, following Wilshere, Ryan Fredericks, Lukasz Fabianski and Issa Diop into the London Stadium, is Andriy Yarmolenko.

Yarmolenko is an Ukrainian winger who previously played at Borussia Dortmund. The 28-year-old only arrived at Dortmund last year, joining from Dynamo Kiev, and scored 10 goals in the 17/18 season.

He now moves to West Ham after completing a medical at their training camp in Switzerland, signing on a four-year contract. The fee is undisclosed, but ‘Sky Sports’ report it to be worth £17.5m.

“West Ham is a big club with good fans and I am happy to come to play in the Premier League,” Yarmolenko said as the move was announced on Wednesday.

“The Premier League is the best league in the world and I know that an interesting project is being built here at West Ham. The team wants to achieve high things and I am excited for this challenge.”
