Inter Milan duo edge closer to Roma move

Davide Santon is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a left back for Italian club Internazionale and the Italy national team, while Nicolò Zaniolo is an Italian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Inter Milan.

Inter Milan defender Davide Santon and youth player Nicolo Zaniolo were having medicals at Roma on Monday morning as Radja Nainggolan’s move in the opposite direction neared completion.

The Rome club published pictures of the pair preparing to undergo tests on their official website, hours after former Belgium midfielder Nainggolan arrived in Milan. Roma said: “On Monday morning, Davide Santon and Nicolo Zaniolo arrived at Rome’s Villa Stuart hospital to undergo their medicals ahead of prospective moves to the Giallorossi.”

Inter are reported to have agreed to pay 24 million euros plus former Newcastle full-back Santon and Zaniolo to get their hands on Nainggolan, who retired from international football after being left out of Belgium’s final 2018 World Cup squad.
