Harry Kane: ‘I want to continue World Cup form’

England striker Harry Kane has said that he wants to continue his current World Cup form with a place in the starting lineup against Belgium.

Kane tops the tournament scoring charts after two penaltiesand a deflected effort against Panama saw the Tottenham Hotspur forward move onto five goals in two games.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, the 24-year-old said that he is keen to carry his goalscoring run into the knockout stages in Russia.

“I want to continue, the form I’m in, but whatever decision the gaffer makes we’ll get behind,” Kane said.

“That’s his decision, I guess, but obviously I want to play. The most important thing is always winning games, and if my goals help my team win then that’s the perfect situation.

“There’s a long way to go and a lot of good players just behind me [on the list]. Hopefully I can just continue and take it into Thursday’s game.”

England’s win over Panama was their biggest in a major tournament to date
