Monaco on the Verge of Signing Dalbert

It seems more and more likely that Inter full back Dalbert will make a return to Ligue 1 and play for Monaco, at least according to Italian sports newspaper La Gazzetta della Sport who confirms that there have been important talks between Monaco and Inter the last couple of hours in order to take Dalbert to Monaco on a loan deal with an option to buy.

Should this be the case this means that the Monegasque club has surpassed German Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach in the race for signing the 25-year-old Brazilian, who unfortunately failed to make any kind of impression during his first (and probably last) season in the black-and-blue jersey after coming from Nice. Now it looks like Dalbert is going back to Ligue 1. Still according to La Gazzetta della Sport, what tipped the scale towards Monaco was the fact that the option to buy clause was inserted in the deal.
