Kenya Premier League Champions Gor Mahia have been placed in the same group with Rwanda giants Rayon Sports in the Cecafa Kagame Cup which is slated for slated for June 28 to July 12 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Gor will face Rayon on 29th June in the group B clash. They will also face Lydia Ludic of Burundi and Djibouti’s Ports for a chance to play in the quarters of the East Africa club competitions.
This is the second time that Dylan Kerr’s side has been drawn in the same pool with Rayon, in a spell of only two months. The two sides also belong to Group D in the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup. They played out a 1-all draw in their first-leg encounter on May 6 in Kigali.
Azam United are the defending champions after beating Kogalo 2-0 in 2015 . The tournament was not held in 2016 and 2017.
