Gor Coach Dylan Kerr Expects to face a Different Yanga side to the one that lost to Homeboyz

Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr expects to face a much better Yanga side to the one that lost to Kakamega Homeboyz in the Sportpesa Super Cup when the two sides meet in the CAF Confederations cup in July.

Striker Allan Wanga scored a brace as Kakamega Homeboyz bundled the Tanzanian giants out of the Sportpesa Super cup with a 3-1 win in Nakuru on Sunday.

But Kerr has revealed that he spoke to some Yanga players who blamed the loss to fatigue.

“I spoke to several of them who I knew from my time at Simba and they said they were not at their best because they have come off a long season and all they are thinking of now is taking holidays to rest. Of course it will be tougher when we meet them,” The coach said during an interview with Capital Sports.

Yanga will travel to Nairobi for the first leg of their Group D clash on July 18 before inviting K’Ogalo to the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam for the corresponding tie 10 days later.

The Tanzanians are currently bottom of group D with a single point and anything but a win in the the two matches will kill their chances of making it out of the group.
