Ghana boss speak on win over Japan

Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah has hailed their first-half display but he is not happy with the second half performance the win against Japan in Wednesday’s international friendly encounter.

“I think the Ghana team, in the first half, was much better than in the second, and was tactically disciplined too.,” he told 442gh.com in an exclusive interview.

“In the second half, we relied on counter attacks and defended too much which I don’t like. I am always an attacking minded coach,” Kwasi Appiah said after the game in Japan.

The Black Stars will take on World Cup debutantes Iceland on June 7 at the 15,000 capacity Laugardalsvöllur stadium in Reykjavik.
