Vihiga boss tips Harambee Starlets to shine against E. Guinea

Kenya Women Premier League (KWPL) reigning champions Vihiga Queens coach Alex Alumira believes that Harambee Starlets have what it takes to upset the West Africans on Wednesday 6 June at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

“The quality of the WPL is growing fast, with most teams moving to advanced tactical approaches as opposed to the physical approach we saw three to four years back. We still have to assess our finishing because that is where as a national team, we have problems. In the Uganda duel, we scored only one goal, and from a defender.

“If we can improve on that front, we can have a good result. I however trust in the bench and the Football Kenya Federation’s efforts and most importantly the players who have given their best so far,” Alumira told Soka

Alumira’s Vihiga Queens has a total of seven players in camp (club with the highest number of players). The Starlets team will play the opening leg of the tie at home, before traveling away on Saturday 9 June.
