Red Devils appoints Rapetti as fitness coach

Stefano Rapetti has been appointed as the new Manchester United fitness coach.

The 41-year-old fitness coach had prevoiusly worked with Mourinho while at Inter Milan, where he was tasked with overlooking fitness and rehabilitation of players.

He is reported to have also worked at Sampdoria but,  left that position to reunite with Mourinho at Old Trafford.

Red Devils are reported to have also added Michael Carrick to their backroom staff, and the same report suggests that Under-18s coach Kieran McKenna has been promoted to a senior role.

Rui Faria, who had been Mourinho’s right-hand man for more than 17 years, officially stepped down this week to leave the assistant manager’s position vacant.
