Gor Mahia stays unbeaten as AFC Leopards ends winless streak

Gor Mahia FC unbeaten run is intact, this is after avoiding a defeat against Sofapaka as they clashed on Sunday at Machakos Stadium on Sunday 20 May.

The two sides played to a 3-3 draw. Gor Mahia scored through Meddie Kagere and Bernard Ondiek for a 2-0 lead at the break. On return from the break Sofapaka scored at the 51st minute and the 83th minute through Kepha Aswani and Ezekiel Okare. Okare would score his second at the 88th minute and Batoto Ba Mungu were two minutes away from ending Gor Mahia unbeaten run. Innocent Wafula would deny Sofapaka maximum points after scoring at the 90th minute.
Gor Mahia stays top of the league log with 32 points while Sofapaka is fifth 25 points.

Win for Ingwe
At Thika Stadium, AFC Leopard ended their eight match winless run after beating Thika United 2-0. Before the match the Big Cats had not won since 18 March.
Whyvonne Isuza scored from the penalty spot at 61 before setting up Ezekie Odera at the 68th minute for second goal. Odera was then sent off for taunting Thika fans.

The win also marked Zapata Rodolfo’s first as Leopards coach.

Nakumatt
Nakumatt FC rose to 17th on the Kenyan Premier League log after beating Tusker FC 2-1. Nakumatt scored through Kelvin Thairu and Cornelius Juma while Brain Osumba scored Tusker’s goal.
