Revealed! Amount of Money Kipchoge Will Pocket After Smashing INEOS Challenge

Eliud Kipchoge embraces the owner of INEOS company Jim Ratcliffe.

Definitely after beating the INEOS159 challenge, the World Greatest ever marathoner Eliud Kipchoge is poised to pocket millions of shilling in prizes for his outstanding performance.

According to KTN Kenya, the 42-kilometre world record-holder will bag a jaw-dropping Ksh400 million from INEOS, a privately owned UK multinational chemicals company headquartered in London.

The chemical company was the sole sponsor of the challenge.

In addition, the Standard Group TV reported that ISUZU Limited, one of the companies that Kipchoge has been its brand ambassador, will award the athlete Ksh4.5 million.

Also, CPF Financial Services Ltd, which deals with pension services, has promised the World record-holder Ksh1.5 million for his retirement.

The county government of Nandi is reportedly expected to reward the athlete while Uasin Gishu has pledged to name a street after him though official communication is yet to be made.

Kipchoge beat the challenge by 20 seconds after finishing the race at 1:59:40.

Though the record will not be recognized by International Association of Athletics Federations(IAAF), the world record-holder’s achievement in Vienna, Austria earned him a place in the Guinness book of record as the first-ever human to finish the 42kilometre marathon under 2 hours.

The achievement has sparked excitement not only in Kenya but also all over the world.

Deputy President William Ruto was among a host of leaders who travelled to Vienna to cheer Kipchoge.
