Edith Kimani and 4 other Kenyans Poached By International Media

1.Abdi Latif:

Abdi Latif Dahir, a Daily Nation Reporter has been poached by a renowned international newspaper. New York Times (NYT), on Monday, October 7 announced it’s the newest employee, a Kenyan journalist.

2.Richard Kagoe:

Richard Kagoe is a senior former anchor for 9 pm prime time English news.Kagoe reportedly handed in his resignation in early August to join BBC.

3.Larry Madowo:

Renowned Business Editor, Larry Madowo was among the luckiest journalist to be poached in April 2018. Madowo, who allegedly had a frosty relationship with Nation Media Group’s management and editorial leadership forced him out, was poached by BBC. In July 2019, He decided to take a break and go study in the US.

4.Edith Kimani:

Former KTN news anchor was also poached by DW, in Germany. In 2009, Edith began her career after winning a KTN reality show contest seeking out Kenya’s most talented young news anchor. She then hosted her own show, On the Record, and earned a name for herself as one of Kenya’s top young journalists. She moved to Berlin,  Germany to start a new life and become an East African correspondent with DW.
