Serge Aurier

The Tottenham Hotspur right-back has been a top target for FPL managers in Gameweek 7..The Ivorian’s performance in his last appearance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is a big factor in his rising popularity. In his first start of 2019/20, Aurier supplied two assists and earned 14 FPL points in a 4-0 win over Crystal Palace.

That display appears to have secured his role as the first-choice pick for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Aurier also started at Leicester City last weekend and scored a goal, although it was overturned by VAR because Son Heung-min (£9.7m) was found to be offside in the build-up. The right-back was then rested for the midweek Carabao Cup loss at Colchester United.

His total of four chances created in the last two Gameweeks is the joint-highest for Spurs along with Erik Lamela (£6.1m) and Son.

Nicholas Pepe

The Arsenal winger has been a standout goal threat in recent matches. Since his first start in Gameweek 3, Pepe has had 17 shots, the most of any midfielder in FPL.

Only the highest-scoring player in the game, Sergio Aguero (£12.2m), has surpassed that total, taking 21 shots. Pepe’s tally was also four more than Arsenal’s next-best shooter, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.0m).

And the Ivorian matched his more expensive team-mate’s nine shots in the box and five shots on target. Pepe was also the Gunners’ standout creator, making eight key passes.

Yet he has managed only one goal, a converted penalty against Aston Villa last weekend and a single assist all season. That could, however, change as Arsenal’s next match is against an unconvincing Manchester United.

Jack Grealish

The Aston Villa midfielder has been one of the standout creators in the opening matches of 2019/20.Grealish has produced 14 key passes, a total bettered by only five other midfielders in FPL.

He has supplied an assist in two of the first six Gameweeks, setting up goals at home to AFC Bournemouth in Gameweek 2 and in last weekend’s loss at Arsenal.

The 24-year-old will again be a key figure when Burnley visits Villa Park on Saturday afternoon. The Clarets arrive on the back of a 2-0 home win over Norwich City in Gameweek 6.

But Sean Dyche’s side has been far from resilient on the road, conceding in all three of their away fixtures. Indeed, that form mirrors their displays from the last term.

Away from home, Burnley conceded 366 shots and 220 shots inside the penalty area. Both those totals were ranked among the bottom three sides. Grealish’s eye for a killer pass can profit from those frailties, offering managers a tempting option in the budget-midfield bracket.
