Bandari Out to Defend Their Advantage in Tunisia

ImageBandari FC coach Bernard Mwalala says they will do their best to ensure that they qualify for Caf Confederation Cup when they take on Tunisian side, Stade de Ben Guerdane in a first-round return leg match on Friday.

The Dockers take a 2-0 advantage to Tunis and they will be looking to protect the advantage and qualify for the competition’s group stage for the first time ever in their history.

Speaking ahead of the game, Mwalala said they are looking forward to the game and that they will give their best against the Tunisians to ensure that they preserve their advantage and secure a group stage ticket.Image

“We will give our best. I know that it won’t be easy and we will have to fight. Playing against North African teams away from home is never easy and we have made our players understand the challenge awaiting us in Tunis. I think we have prepared them well both mentally and physically and it’s not about applying what we practiced in training on match day. I believe we can do this but we have to be at our absolute best to get a good result,” he told Opera News.

Bandari will leave for Tunisia on Wednesday evening.
