Western Stima, on the other hand, played to a two-all draw with Kariobangi Sharks at the same venue on Day one.

Teddy Osok and Steven Njuge missed the match against Nzoia Sugar due to injuries. Team physio Noel Mandi says they are ready and available for the game ” Teddy and Steve have trained with the rest of the team well and they are available for selection against Western Stima. Joe (Waithira) has a slight back problem but we will assess him further to determine whether he can play on Saturday,” he said. Eric Odhiambo, Dennis Gicheru, Piscas Muhindo, and John ‘Katua’ Mutua remain long-term absentees.

Both teams have faced off just once before in the Sportpesa Shield round of 16 matches in April where Stima won 2-1. Derrick Onyango opened the scoring for Wazito but goals from Samuel Odhiambo a Kennedy Otieno knocked the moneybags out.

Wazito’s goalkeeper Gad Mathews will be returning to the club where he made his Kenyan Premier League debut.  Mathews joined Western Stima in January 2017 from Palos FC and made his debut for the side during the 2017 season before leaving the club at the end of the campaign for Kariobangi Sharks.

The match will kick-off at 3 PM.
