Wajir North MP and census team sprayed with bullets in mystery shooting

Wajir North MP, Ahmed Ibrahim Abdsalan is fighting for his life in hospital after his car was ambushed and riddled with bullets while travelling with members of the census team. Reports indicate that the vehicle was later torched.

According to the k24 newsroom, the lawmaker was attacked near an abandoned mosque at Masalale Wajir county but rescued from the scene by his security team.

The incidence comes barely a week after more than 20 suspected militants damaged a mobile phone mast in Kheira Ali village in Lafey constituency and injuring one person.
