Nyeri Town MP, Ngunjiri Wambugu, has once again revisited allegations that he hired goons to disrupt a meeting by Agriculture CS, Mwangi Kiunjuri, due to their political differences.

Ngunjiri denied causing chaos in the event while accusing Kiunjuri of trying to block his presence claiming his real intention was to stage a political rally for Deputy President William Ruto.

Posting on his Facebook page, the vocal MP went further to explain how he had financed the meeting by paying for the grounds and seats, and hence, he couldn’t disrupt a meeting financed with his own money.

“For the record that Riamukurwe meeting was my meeting. I agreed with the locals where it would be held. So Kiunjuri was in that function as a guest. Then for some reason, he decided to use my meeting to do tanga tanga politics, and even tried to suggest as MP I will not speak at the event,” read a section of Ngunjiri’s Facebook post.

The Agriculture CS had gone to a function in the region last month to launch a water project which was cut short after goons stormed the venue and caused chaos.

The CS was reportedly on the podium when Wambugu arrived with rowdy boda-boda riders, who forced the speaker to pause and Kiunjuri to change the line-up of speakers altogether.
