Most Kenyans now look forward to the Census waiting to happen in the next three days. The process has most of us guessing that the results will show the correct population data in all the 47 counties. It will mark the end of resources being allocated to sparely populated regions at the expense of the densely populated areas. Kenyans have thus been requested to stand counted as of 24-31 Aug 2019.

With insecurity levels sparking up in the country, many are left to wonder how to identify those conducting the census? As per the government recommendations, official census uniform is an orange reflector jacket for all enumerators, an official badge and a black strap bag.

The jackets will have a government logo on the right and a census one on the left. They will also have the census motto ‘Jitokeze Uhesabike’ printed on the back.

In the rural areas’ enumeration will begin at around 6.00 pm while in Nairobi and other urban areas it will begin at around 6.30pm. Which is the time most households are getting ready to have dinner. Will you be willing to serve your guests if they arrive at your time of meals?

Here were some reactions.
