Former Tusker FC, Sony Sugar and Mahakama FC coach, Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo has returned to Posta Rangers as head coach, replacing coach John Kamau, the club has confirmed.

The former Kenya international returns to the club eight months after he was fired and replaced by John Kamau.

Omollo then joined KCB as an assistant coach but left the club in June when the Bankers fired Frank Ouna and replaced him with Zedekiah Otieno.

He had been linked with a move to National Super League side, Nairobi Stima but the club opted to hire former Posta Rangers assistant coach Leonard Odipo.

Rangers chairman John Tonui has now confirmed that Omollo has returned to the club as head coach and exuded confidence that he will lead the team to greater heights.

“I can confirm that we have rehired Pamzo as our head coach. After wide consultations we decided to bring him back because he did a good job during his time here, we just had one bad season and I believe that he will lead this team well. The other technical bench members retain their positions. Pascal (Ochieng) will assist him while Joseph Ruto will train the keepers,”Tonui told Opera News.

Tonui went further to clarify that they have not fired John Kamau.

” Let me make it clear that we have not sacked coach Kamau. We will redeploy him to other departments,” he added.
