Elgeyo Senator who is also Senate Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen has at long last vowed to pressure and apologized to an embattled city lawyer Miguna Miguna for keeping quiet when his rights were being violated in 2018.

Through his Twitter account, Murkomen apologized to Miguna on behalf of his friend whom Murkomen termed as  ‘Human Rights Hypocrites’ saying that he will defend Miguna’s fundamental rights and freedoms.

I apologize on behalf of those who kept silent when u went through untold suffering.I apologize on behalf of your”friends” who like Judas sold u for 30 pieces of silver&now are absorbed in filling their stomachs at ur expense.Pole on behalf of all human rights hypocrites.

Murkomen was replying to Miguna’s tweet where he had urged Murkomen to apologize to him directly without beating around the bush.

The whole debate started when Professor Makau Mutua questioned where Murkomen (Dp Ruto’s attack Dog) had disappeared to owing to his recent loud silence in the political arena. In his reply, Murkomen instead urged Mutua to concentrate his energies on bringing Miguna back home rather than aimlessly attacking him online.

After making his apology publicly, Miguna who is still in Canada thanked Murkomen saying history had taught both of them that there is neutrality in the struggle for justice. Today, it might be me who is being brutalized. But tomorrow, it might be anyone said Miguna.

Miguna reminded Murkomen of a discussion he had at a local TV station with Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot telling him that Uhuru was going to fix Ruto after 2017 elections but the Senator rubbished his remarks saying that was impossible.

I recall a conversation I had with Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot, Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatang’i and Rarieda MP Otiende Amolo at the in January 2018. After I warned Cheruiyot that Despot Uhuru Kenyatta was going to FIX RUTO, he responded: “That is not possible.”

The two however promised to work together, to restructure the State and all its institutions and laws in order to make them accountable to the people of Kenya.
