It seems that a section of Kenyans haven’t forgotten the allegations that Eric Omondi stole Ksh. 65,000 from upcoming artist Madini Classic. This has become apparent after the comedian posed his proposal for a youth parliament online.
Taking to his Instagram, he outlined some of the terms and conditions of the proposed youth parliament which were:
5. The KENYA NATIONAL YOUTH PARLIAMENT WILL HAPPEN BECAUSE #NowIsTheTime
While some supported his idea and hope he sees it through, others see it as a scandal considering so many youth organizations are already in existence. Check out their reactions below:

This is bulshit, how many politicians and agencies do we see using youths as a platform, youth empowerment, youth employment agencies n zectra.Only to run away with it after being funded.Using youth as platform should come to an end

LOL “It will not be a political forum” Eric, everything you just wrote down is political.

One rep for a whole a county yawa? One person to represent a million people? Who selects them? What will ensure accountability? How will their suggestions be implemented. It’s leaning more towards a political forum.

@ericomondibefore we get to that don’t you see already tax payers money is already misused by the upper dogs? We have Youth funds but how many of us have ever gotten that cash even after requesting..?? Kwanza let’s fix the current parliament too many Mps and women representatives for nothing..

But again Eric; if you will be relying on National and County governments for support, which I believe is resources and money; then definitely it’s tax payers’ money. Unless you are seeking for NGO funding, which you clearly haven’t defined in your points above .

Before that you should clarify the age bracket because the word youth changed its meaning here in kenya ata president n his depute ni youths remember ,good idea though

This is a good idea.. however..the moment you make representation be on an electable basis.. then you’ll soon be diving into a political man hole .. again.. you want it headed by a national speaker.. I see it becoming political eventually.. Why can’t we change its approach.. have people selected based on their ideologies and visions of implementation. Have a team to vet proposals on ideas .. have interviews as well.. ensure those who get to sit are a different calibre of young people.

💪omosh… You remember Julia ojiambo, she had one back then 200³-7… We were modeled good n politics killed it so politics is a big no.

Why can’t the youth vote for most of their own in the parliamentary elections? Have those youth elected made any difference since? This is not viable course

Is this the same thing @chipukeezy is doing by reaching out to the youth and getting their point of view by encouraging them to voice their opinions and showcase their ideas ama this is slightly different.
