The embattled Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal on Monday caused a stir on social media after he donated 20,000 knives to be used for a circumcision exercise across his county.
Kenyans who seemed angered by the Jubilee Governor’s move took the opportunity to bash him on alleges that he has been putting to much focus on the country’s cultural matters while sidelining the tangible development agenda.
However, according to Lenolkulal circumcision among the Samburu is as important as any other county’ s activity. He says that the 20,000 knives would prevent transmission of infections as each knife would be used to circumcise one boy.
“What we have said as a county government because of health of these youths we have ensured a single knife and gloves would be used to circumcise one boy to reduce the possibility of disease infections such as HIV and aids and Hepatitis which are there,” he said.
In the past, a circumciser would apparently use one knife on all the initiates.
Kenyans would, however, take none of that as they are now accusing the governor facing corruption charges of using the project as a gateway to loot.
Here are angry reactions from Kenyans;
And just like that this moron Will leave a super legacy. “I bought 20k knives to circumcise our boys which improved the livelihoods of the residents”. Our politicians require hi-tech formatting of their brains using hi-tech anti-virus.

Some communities think that circumcision is important than life and formal education. Now he thinks that he has contributed to development

My question is do we even have 20000 boys in Samburu to go for circumcision

Hehe I am just interested to how many millions was spent to buy the knives. That is where the catch is because I know there was no tender process hence procurement regulations were flawed.

And there’s an idiot pushing for increase of budget to counties when these governors don’t even know what to do with the money
