But Why? Kenyan men reveal their toxic masculinity traits

Toxic masculinity is a term used in reference to how our culture views a limited idea of what it means to “be a man.” For Instance, men are constantly told to be aggressive and tough, that they should not cry or be too emotional, those are some toxic masculinity traits that the society has set.

These traditional norms have affected how men behave in the world today. Let boys be boys is something we have heard overtime but do we rethink what it means, letting a boy be? Maybe not.

If you actually “let boys be boys” in the same way we’ve started to let girls be girls, or let anyone be whatever they want, this clearly mans that see ourselves better off because we’re embracing those aspects of ourselves that would have been hindred by their version of masculinity and gender roles.
