Manchester United’s summer has been hot and cold. The Red Devils finished 6th last season which meant they will compete in the less lucrative Europa League next season. Attracting World-Class stars has been the hardest task for the record English Champions this transfer window.
Right Back Aaron Wan Bissaka, Winger Daniel James and England center-back Harry Maguire have been the only arrivals at Old Trafford in a summer that was expected to yield more arrivals. All is not lost as the club still has 48 hours to fix their squad and below we look at 2 players that could end up at Old Trafford before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Cristian Eriksen-midfielder
The Danish midfielder’s contract is in the last year at Tottenham Hotspur which means they could lose him for free next summer. He has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United as Spurs look set to sign Phillipe Coutinho on loan from Barcelona.
Having lost Ander Herrera who joined Paris Saint Germain, Manchester United need a replacement and Eriksen fits that bill perfectly. Negotiating with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has proved a difficult task in the past but Manchester United could do well with a try.

Fernando Llorente-Striker
The Spaniard is a free agent after his contract with Tottenham Hotspur expired in June. Manchester United are likely to lose Romelu Lukaku which would leave them understaffed in the striking department.
With time for incoming deals limited, Ole Gunnar is said to be looking at the striker as back up to Marcus Rashford and Antony Martial. The deal makes sense as it would cost the club no transfer fee and they would get a striker who has experienced playing in the Premier League.
