Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko’s outburst on Ken Okoth’s other family and child has stirred social media after he revealed that the deceased bore a child with a Nairobi Nominated MCA.
“During some medical camp in 2013, Ken met a beautiful nurse from Sonko rescue team with whom he bore a child. I am witness to that effect,” Sonko said
“My humble appeal is that even as we prepare to bury Ken, let’s not forget his son. He too needs and has a RIGHT to participate in the send-off of his beloved dad. As such, it’s our duty to protect the right of the child”.

Sonko’s remarks during the funeral left netizens divided as some found his speech unnecessary especially at a time when the family is still in mourning.

This is both good and bad… good because Sonko is tackling the hypocrisy in Kenyan homes (especially VIP homes) that child is innocent and needs recognition.
