Nairobi Mbuvi Sonko has promised to ensure that the country gets clean bhang from Jamaica if it is legalized in Kenya.
Speaking during Ken Okoth’s memorial service which was held in Kibra, the much hyped governor asked MP Babu Owino to take up the task and ensure that bhang is legalized in Kenya.
“Huyu ndugu yetu (Ken Okoth) alitaka kulegalize marijuana na tunasikia bhangi iko na dawa ya cancer. Mheshimiwa Babu Owino na wabunge vijana endeleeni na hiyo mswada bhangi ikuwe legalized,” Sonko stated.
Sonko continued by arguing that ‘ganja’ is the real cure of cancer.
Sonko’s speech was informed by the fact that Ken Okoth was sponsoring a bill in Parliament that was pushing the country to legalize marijuana for medicinal use in the country.

This has elicited a lot of reactions from Kenyans bearing in mind that President Uhuru Kenyatta also announced that he is set to make a state visit to Kingston Jamaica.
