They say that justice will ultimately be served even if it takes some little more time. On Tuesday, Governor Waititu’s wife Susan Wangari and four other county officials were released on a cash bail of Ksh. 4million and a bond of Ksh. 10million each or surety of a similar amount. Further, all civil servants who are alleged to have sat in the tender committee were released on a Ksh. 1million cash bail each.
Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu was released on a Ksh.15 million and a bond of Ksh.30 million. In fear of the officials interfering with the ongoing investigations, Magistrate Lawrence Mugambi at Milimani Law Courts directed that Governor Waititu and all accused county officials be barred from accessing the Kiambu County offices until the case is heard and determined.
Kenyans were very receptive of the news that has since sparked many reactions.
For defying his promise to Kiambu people, they are hoping justice is served. Even though they feel that he will walk away freely like the previous elites.
Here were more reactions:
As if he can not afford another 15M for a cleaner to clean that office. That office should be sealed. @DCI_Kenya @ODPP_KE @NPSOfficial_KE should camp there. NIS should camp there.

Kiambu residents are ready for Nyoro to take over as Governor. Do you think he will deliver?
Dr Nyoro should move steadfast and show the much needed leadership in kiambu. What a blessing in disguise to the Dr who has endured humiliation from his boss. Divine it is!
