Manchester United close to completing deal for Ivory Coast winger

Manchester United are on the brink of finalizing a deal for Lille winger Nicholas Pepe in a 72.5£ million deal. The Red Devils are understood to be in deep talks with the French club for the 24-year-old Ivory Coast international.

The left-footed winger scored 23 goals and got 12 assists s Lille finished second in Ligue 1 to eventual winners Paris Saint Germain.

Manchester United have so far only confirmed 2 signings this summer, Daniel James from Swansea and Aaron Wan Bissaka from Crystal Palace.

However, despite the imminent signing of Pepe, some Manchester United fans were not impressed by the winger’s performances for Ivory Coast in the just concluded Africa Cup Of Nations tournament.

Some are however desperate to see him at Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar’s side finished 6th last season and will be playing in the Europa League next season. The Red Devils will are in their pre-season activities where they face off with fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspurs on Thursday from 2 pm Kenyan time.
