Sofapaka Ugandan striker Umaru Kasumba is set to join Zambian giants, Zesco United after striking a deal with the Ndola based side, Opera News can authoritatively report.

Kasumba moves to Zambia after his contract with Batoto Ba Mungu expired at the end of June. He joined the club in mid-2017 from Ugandan side, SC Villa and in the two-and-a-half seasons that he turned out for the John Baraza coached side, the Ugandan scored 38 league goals making him one of the most lethal attackers in the league.

Recently Sofapaka president Elly Kalekwa admitted that the club’s sorry financial state couldn’t allow them to tie down the forward and captain Steven Waruru who has since joined Kenyan Premier League side, KCB.
