It is shocking that in this era, a Kenyan man has the audacity to beat his wife. It’s not only saddening but shocking at the same time. Even with all the awareness going round, it breaks our hearts.
It is shocking that men still view women as proprieties first of their fathers, then of their husbands. It is with this in mind that men use force to assert their authority, usually without protest from the women.
In the Transmara region, men who don’t beat their wives are seen as weaklings. It is believed that women and men with incomplete primary level of education were more likely to have been physically assaulted.
In the video attached below, a lady was seriously receiving strokes from a man in an open market, and she was helpless. tried fighting back but the man kept on canning her. It was until one man intervened and the woman was rescued.

A lady spoke out and revealed that it’s a norm among people in Trasmara, they always want to make the lady feel inferior:
As a Transmara resident,the people are so much engulfed into making the woman so inferior due to their stupid cultures of men undermining women. This is so stupid and inhumane. Then some wonder why we keep on fighting for women’s rights🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
