Kenyans online have questioned the validity of Political Analyst Mutahi Ngunyi’s Whatsapp status after dipping his feet into the mystery surrounding the alleged loss of 21 billion Shillings meant for the construction of Kimwarer and Arror dams in Elgeyo Marakwet county.

Through his Tweeter Account, the renown analyst had based his arguments on the DCI findings which according to him had indicated that a total of 4 billion shillings had been withdrawn in cash from a bank in Westlands by some of the suspects in the two dams’ scandal.

Mutahi went on to say that after withdrawal, the money was taken to a home of one influential person in the government to whom Mutahi was asking if that person was going to be arrested as well.

According to DCI, 4 billion was withdrawn in CASH from a WESTLANDS bank. It was TAKEN to the home of some INFLUENTIAL BIG Person. After “Henry Rotich” will they ARREST this BIG PERSON? I have a BAD Feeling. He tweeted.

He was responding to the DPP Noordin Haji’s orders to arrest Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich following concluded reports on Kiwarer, Arror dams scandals.

Rotich who has been adversely mentioned for irregularly releasing funds for the two dams is currently at the DCI headquarters in Kiambu and is expected to be arraigned in court as soon as he finishes recording the statement.

It is, however, Ngunyi’s Status that set the internet ablaze with mixed reactions. Here are some of the reactions from both the Tweeter and Facebook:
