Lace underwear might be good for the eyes, but not for the body

Zumi Lace

Lace underwear is gorgeous to look at, seductive to men and feels extremely light and sexy when worn. It is hard to imagine that those tiny pieces of material can be dangerous. Choosing the right underwear is just as important as hygiene.

Here are some of the reasons why you need to toss them out.

The body needs to breathe.

Lace does not allow the body to breathe because they trap moisture and heat. These are two elements that could lead to the development of a yeast infection.

For the active woman who likes to exercise or go for long walks, wearing a thong is not advisable because, during a workout, the body excretes a lot of sweat and heat. Lace being a fabric that cannot breathe, it will trap the heat, increasing chances of infections.

Lace thongs are not your friend either

Thongs, in general, are good when you want to avoid the unsightly panty lines. As much as thongs are a gift given to women who like to simplify their lives, they also come with their own disadvantage. Thongs, especially lose ones, move around a lot during the day making the transfer of bacteria from your anus to your vagina very easy. This could lead to UTI’s  (Urinary Tract Infections), vaginal irritations and yeast infections.

You need to also avoid tight thongs. The skin around the vagina is more sensitive than other parts of the body and wearing tight underwear can lead to the irritation of the skin through friction.

Invest in good quality cotton underwear to keep moisture away from your skin and hence prevent infections.
