Former Sofapaka captain among three confirmed at KCB

Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side, Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) FC has made three more signings ahead of 2019/20 KPL campaign.

KCB finished 10th in the Kenyan Premier League last season and the team is now looking to perform better next season. They began by ringing changes in their technical bench by head coach Frank Ouna, his place was taken by Zedekiah Otieno.

The team has now made three signings. The three are former Sofapaka captain Steven Waruru who terminated his contract with Batoto Ba Mungu two weeks ago. Waruru has signed a two-year deal with the Bankers.

Immediate former Gor Mahia defender Pascal Ogweno. The central defender was dropped by the Kenyan champions and had been linked with a move to Tusker FC. He has however moved to KCB signing a two-year deal.

Completing the least is Kisumu AllStar’s central defender Moses Odhiambo. Odhiambo has been linked with a move to Western Stima but the Bankers have managed to rope him on a two-year deal.

“We have signed Waruru, Ogweno, and Odhiambo. They are all good players and I am confident that they will boost the team and help us achieve the targets we’ve set for the team next season,” KCB manager Bamwel Simiyu told Opera News.

The three take the number of new faces at KCB to five after the arrival of Ian Motanda from Kisumu AllStars and Steven Onyango from Fortune Sacco.
