Arunga received more than 20,000 google searches in less than 24 hours after making her confession.

On Thursday Australian judge Martin Burns will read his verdict against Ms Arunga who on Monday told the court that she lied to police about the circumstances that led to her three-year-old son’s death on June 18, 2014. What do you think could come crushing after the judge’s verdict?

Well, according to her, she did it to protect her husband. She also pleaded guilty to being an accessory to the murder and faces up to 25 years in jail. But this has elicited a lot of reactions from Kenyans, who have hence updated her Wikipedia profile to describe her as “a barrister and solicitor and former television and radio presenter from Kenya, now resident in Australia”.

For now two consecutive days, Esther Arunga has been one of the top trends on Twitter, with Kenyans asking people to say what they could tell Arunga should they meet her at the moment.

Did you even know that she is also an advocate of the High Court of Kenya?

Well, many seem to be standing with her, especially for the 25 years in prison that she is staring at.  Some have even compared Arunga’s case to the murder case facing former Citizen TV journalist Jacque Maribe.

Have ladies started loving without their brains? Well, this is what one of the Kenyans on Twitter believes, who has even compared Esther Arunga’s husband to Jacque Maribe’s co-accused Joseph Irungu alias Jowie.

Arunga’s hashtag trend on social media has even turned into a motivational page, where different Kenyans are giving their opinions and pieces of advice to young Kenyan ladies out there.

Another Twitter user says the most important career decision a woman will ever make is in who she marries. According to her, when a lady meets the wrong guy, it will mark her end literally regardless of her education or social status.

According to Kenyan artiste Suzanna Owiyo, Esther Arunga inspired many at the height of her career but when she joined Quincy Timberlake and Joseph Hellon with their Placenta Party, things started going  south.

Joseph Hellon and Quincy Timberlake have however continued to receive blames over Arunga’s fall, with many accusing them of having done something to the former TV queen.

But can Can Esther Arunga serve as a lesson to our ladies now? What is your take on her story?
