Antoine Griezmann nutmegged twice in his first training session with the Blaugrana. The player already looked comfortable while training with his new club members.

Griezmann joined his new club on Friday when Barcelona activated his €120 million release clause and the player signed a contract of five years, a deal that will see him at Nou Camp until 2024.

The 28-year-old was then presented on Sunday where he spoke of his happiness to play alongside Lionel Messi.

“The thing that makes me happiest is playing with a partner like him, Messi will be a legend for my son and my son’s children. He’s like LeBron James for basketball,” Griezmann said at a press conference.

“I want to be an important player at this great club and try to win La Liga, the Champions League and Copa del Rey, which is what I’m missing on my list,” he continued.

On Monday, he joined his new teammates for training. But how did it go? Not so good!

In video footage that has gone viral, the world-class player was nutmegged twice while in the middle of the rondo. The second of which caused him to playfully push Ivan Rakitic; the man who nutmegged him.

Despite the nutmeg, Griezmann was well received by the Blaugrana and he is getting well with his new teammates. With fellow newcomers; Frenkie de Jong and Neto, the new players were given a guard of honour from Barca players.

Griezmann was to join Barcelona at the end of the season 2017-18 but reiterated that he wasn’t ready to move last season.

“I have a family to move,” he said. “I saw my wife, my world, and I was not ready to take the step, and this year has been different. It’s always difficult to leave a home where we felt comfortable with family and friends, it was difficult. I only have admiration and respect for Atletico.

“I wanted a new challenge, to try to improve myself, not be comfortable. I look for my place in a great club and try to win the three titles.”
