The month of July has triggered big transfer rumours as many big names have been involved with a move to, from various clubs. It has arguably been one of the busiest months in the transfer history.

Let’s have a look at the biggest rumours and moves that have taken place from the first two weeks of the month of July

1) Griezmann to Barcelona

Antoine Griezmann’s transfer saga finally came to an end last week Friday when Barcelona activated his 800m euro (£717m) release clause and the player signed a contract of five years, a deal that will see him at Nou Camp until 2024.

The French sensational joined Atletico from Real Sociedad in 2014 and scored 133 goals in 256 appearances. He later signed a new five-year deal with the Rojiblancos but announced in May 2019 that he will be leaving the club preferably for Barcelona.

2) Kieran Trippier on Bayern Munich’s shortlist

Tottenham right-back Kieran Trippier might be on his way to Germany this summer, with Bayern Munich being interested in the services of the England international.

However, the deal still seems to be out of reach, as the Bavarians are not ready to meet Spurs’ demands for a player who will spend the most of the time as a replacement for their first choice right-back Joshua Kimmich.

3) Arsenal’s £72million bid’ for Lille’s Nicolas Pepe

According to reports, Arsenal are already past Wilfred Zaha, as they couldn’t reach an agreement with Crystal Palace over the transfer fee of the Ivorian.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for the 26-year-old, who is a boyhood Gunners fan and is understood to favour a move to Unai Emery’s side.

However, Palace are desperate to keep the Ivory Coast international after already losing Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Man United in a £50 million deal.

The Gunners have turned their attention to another Ivory Coast international, the 24-year old Nicolas Pepe, who played an excellent season at Lille in the 2018-19 campaign.

4) Alves for Manchester City

Man City boss Pep Guardiola sent Dani Alves transfer demand after PSG release

Brazilian and Paris Saint-Germain star Dani Alves have confirmed that he will be leaving PSG on a free transfer this summer.

Few Premier League clubs are interested in the 36-year-old with reports indicating that Manchester City are the favourites to sign him. Alves former club Juventus are also interested in a reunion with him while Sevilla are interested in taking him back to Spain.

5) Lorey Sane also in the radar of PSG

Lorey Saney’s future at Manchester City is unknown as the player has openly stated that he wants out of the Premier League Champions this summer.

Bayern Munich had sent some officials but were rejected by the Citizens. And now, Paris Saint-Germain have emerged as a possible option for the star.

6) Harry Maguire to break a record

Manchester United have been obsessed with Leicester City defender Harry Maguire and the Red Devils have agreed to pay £80 million for the star. When the deal goes through, the 26-year-old become the most expensive defender in the world.

According to reports, the England international is set to fly to Old Trafford soon for the completion of the move.
