Sheilah Mwanyigha set conditions before making radio comeback

Former NTV and Nation FM presenter Sheila Mwanyigha has once gain broken her silence on making a radio comeback.
Sheilah who is well known of her strong voice and personality, came to be a radio presenter when she had an interview with Caroline Mutoko who worked at Capital FM back then, after the interview ended Caroline asked her to have a chat with some guys who wanted to start up a radio station which she did and was called for an interview and got a job to host a program.
However, after gracing the radio waves for some time, she went underground, although she may not be on air she still has radio interest at heart.

Taking to her social media account, Sheilah revealed her radio journey and why she considers it as her first love.

“You donโ€™t just love radio, you live radio…ย  I got a question about radio and can you believe this month marks 19 years since KISSFM! What a journey๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ” she wrote.ย 

The former radio presenter said people still recognize her by her voice because she was herself when working on radio.”I can walk anywhere and once I talk, people will recognize that I am Sheila, which means I did something authentic on radio,” she said.

Adding that she will only be back on the air when Radio will get it right.

 

“When radio finally gets everything right because I still consider it as the king of all other media, including social media,” she said.

Sheila said she still considers radio her first love but radio has changed with time.

“Radio was great but 19 years later, there is a lot of disruptions on radio, and everything changed,” she said.

However, the queen of radio says nowadays, most radio presenters lack authenticity.

“Authenticity is the name of the game on the radio. You can’t just go there and try to be like anybody else,” Sheila said in online conversations with her fans.
