The battle for supremacy between Deputy President William Ruto and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has intensified, with a close ally of the Baringo Senato, Musa Sirma telling off William Ruto over remarks he made when he visited Eldama Ravine in Baringo last Week.
Speaking on Sunday at a church function in Baringo county, accused Ruto of being ungrateful for all the works they had done for him and instead opting to insults on the region’s leaders. He wondered why Ruto was so jealous of his move to rally his people behind Gideon which he said was his democratic right.
“Kindly do your work and allow me to do mine. I want to tell you that the journey has started. And if the journey has commenced, we also need maturity among those seeking votes. Instead of talking about developments when you came here, you instead opted to talk about how I have added extra weight. How does my body concern you? I am not a Slay queen! to remain slim in order to please you” said Sirma

He wondered how a person of Ruto’s statute earning over one million shillings in salary cannot even add one pound of a Kilogram.
“Si utuambie ni nini imekufanya usinenepe. Kama ni zile ziko kwa tumbo si ukule dawa, kama ni ile ngine, kula dawa pia, achana na sisi” posed Sirma in Swahili.
Sirma’s sentiments comes at a time when political realignments are taking shape in Rift Valley following a shift in party alliances between Mr. Moi and Dr Ruto’s allies as they seek to bolster their support network in the 2022 succession politics.
Over the last Weekend, while speaking at Sinonin in Eldama Ravine, Baringo County, where he had attended a Sunday service-cum-fundraiser William Ruto threw jabs at Musa Sirma mocking his ‘overweight’ body structure.
Sirma who had led the famous 2006 Eldama Ravine declaration that saw the Kalenjin community rally behind William Ruto, now deputy president, as the community spokesperson denounced William Ruto’s Jubilee camp a few days ago and instead joined Gideon Moi’s Kanu party.
Upon joining Kanu, Musa Sirma has immediately declared the Eldama Ravine sub-county Kanu branch chairman.
