President Uhuru Kenyatta’s succession battle is escalating to worse scenarios with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) summoning four Mt. Kenya Cabinet Secretaries over the allegations that linking them to a secret plot to eliminate the Deputy President Willliam Ruto.

Now the firebrand Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has as well expressed fears for his life following Ruto’s meeting with the North Eastern leaders on Tuesday.

Kuria who read mischief in Ruto’s meeting went on to warn him over a plan to assassinate him arguing that it would be in his best interest if the DP was discussing development issues with the North Eastern leaders rather than a plan to assassinate him.

“Yesterday the Deputy President met the leadership of Northern and North Eastern region for the whole day. I hope they were discussing development matters and not to assassinate me,” read Kuria’s statement on Facebook.

It is just a few days ago that the firebrand MP threw a jab at Ruto and the ODM leader Raila Odinga over their personal attacks against each other.  He said the differences between the two leaders are the cause for the rising political temperature in the country.

“Every day in the news it’s all about Ruto and Raila as Kenyans continue to suffer. It’s time we forgot about the two,” he said.

Kuria noted that poverty levels in the country had risen sharply yet leaders continued to bicker without offering solutions to the citizens.

“We have years to go before the next general elections but Kenyans are waking daily to politics from their leaders instead of development,” he said.

Kuria and other leaders under the umbrella of Team Wanjiku were on a tour of Gilgil.
